DayTripper – The Extended Version

I am loving destination portraiture – I’ve been shooting sessions outside of the area for years now, certainly tons of beach trips but also week-long sessions in different cities, states, cross country, etc. – but traveling out for just a day or two has been getting more popular lately, and a great deal of fun. (If you are interested in booking me for a portrait session in your city/state, please let us know in advance – I am currently booking portrait sessions in March/April of 2009. Please note that my awesome associates are booking earlier!!! 🙂 When I posted about my 20-hour portrait session in Lake Martin, Alabama, I promised a follow up with photographs from the adventurous day. We started with some lovely portrait sessions at the lake house. First up, the beautiful Gorecki Family, who I have the great pleasure of photographing a couple of times a year 🙂

We took turns with each of the families. Next up – check out these two gorgeous, all-boy brothers 🙂

They started out calmly enough – and then were clearly attacked!

I love how high-key this image is without the highlights blowing out…photography geekoutness.

The hum of the motor put Ireland right to sleep…

…But everyone livened back up as soon as we anchored in a quiet cove 🙂

Many of these images were photographed off the back of a jet ski….

And the infamous cliff diving!! We got so many fun ones of every one jumping, but to many to post here 🙂

Beth looks so in command!

We ended up nearly flying the boat back to the lake house, so I could race the couple hours back to the airport, to catch my flight home. Loved zipping over the water like that. Thanks, again, Amanda and Beth, for inviting me out, I’m excited to put all this together for you. Books, wall displays and portraits, oh my 🙂 🙂 🙂
