Downloading Your New Playbook to Phones and Tablets

Our Posing Playbooks are made for use on computers, phone and tablets. Both the Family Posing Playbook and the Posing Playbook for Kids… are multi-page pdfs. All phones and tablets will need a pdf reader app installed before downloading. The Family Posing Playbook includes a Quick Reference Guide as well, so a zip file app is necessary as well. Here are simple instructions on the easiest way to download your pdf to a phone or tablet.

Android Instructions:  We recommend downloading the files to your computer first to be sure you have them stored somewhere safe as the download is only active for 24 hours. If your link expires, you can always send the files to an email address you have access to on your phone using Dropbox or a free, easy service like WeTransfer.com. Before downloading on your phone, be sure you have downloaded a free pdf reader app like Adobe Acrobat and, if you purchased the Family Posing playbook, a zip file app like WinZip.  Open your email with the download link on your phone or tablet and click the link to download.  After a few moments your browser will pop open and then you can go to the location where you access your latest downloads (often by swiping down.) If your ordered the Family Posing Playbook and your phone doesn’t automatically unzip the file, click the zip file and open with WinZip or your zip file reader.  WinZip Free will store the file or you can export it to another location on your phone.  And you’re done!  :)

Apple Instructions: Our recommendation is to first download your new file onto your computer as the download is only active for 24 hours. If your link expires, you can always send the files to an email address you have access to on your phone using Dropbox or a free, easy service like WeTransfer.com. After downloading (and unzipping if need be) you can then easily move the file(s) to the books section of your iTunes library. Afterwards you can then connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer and transfer the file(s) to the device. The pdf(s) will then be available in iBooks on your device. Alternatively, you can use a free service (like WeTransfer.com) to email each large file to an email account you have access to on your device and follow the first part of the instructions below.

If you do not want to download the file to your computer and transfer it, that’s fine too! Pull up your email with the download link on your phone or tablet and click the link/button.

With WeTransfer you will see a screen like this.  Click Download.

And with our order email you will see this blank screen:

For all options (even if the Playbook pops up), click on the small arrow in the box on the bottom right corner to open in your web browser.  If you have just one pdf (Posing Playbook for Kids or you sent one pdf yourself) the file will now pop open in your browser.  Tap the screen and in the upper right hand corner you will have the option to ‘open in “iBooks”‘.  Congrats!  You are done!  :)

If you are downloading the full Family Posing Playbook zip file, It may take up to 30 seconds or so, depending on your internet speed, but you will then see the zip file with ‘Open in…’ on the top left and possibly ‘Open in “WinZip”‘ (or the name of your zip app) on the top right.  We will continue this tutorial using the free version of WinZip.

After opening in WinZip Free, The Family Posing Playbook folder will appear.  You can store it in your WinZip app if you’d like to access it from there. Otherwise click the folder and click on each pdf and choose the share icon in the top right of the screen (a box with an arrow pointing up).  Then choose ‘Open in …’ and choose ‘Open in iBooks’.  And then you’re done!
