Drew Gurian photographs A LOT of musicians. Often, he has very little time with them.
One minute was all he had with musician Ed Sheeran. Drew clicked 16 frames. That’s it.
In this episode of reDefine Show with Tamara Lackey, Drew shares his behind-the-scenes stories of photographing celebrity musicians and, more importantly, how his own experiences as a drummer for a rock band helps him connect with his subjects.
Luke Bryan was another example of a quick and simple portrait assignment. Drew had about 10 minutes backstage with the country music star. Drew called someone he knew to learn a few personal details so he could connect with Luke Bryan on a different level.
