When my husband and I stumbled upon the film “Once” at our the Chelsea, our local independent theater (why aren’t there more independent theaters????), we just fell in love with it. For those of you who have seen it, you know what I’m talking about – it just washes over you. I had the concrete thought, “I am so enjoying this experience” float into my head several times throughout the movie. Imagine, escapism fare without one gun shot, car chase or overhyped love scene… And this is one of those few soundtracks that you can hear again and again and again without getting tired of it. Note: You can do so for free by going to the Fox Searchlight site for the film – you can even grab a free download of the gorgeous Falling Slowly. I love pulling up the site and letting the soundtrack play while I edit. I’m thinking of this now because we’ve just made plans to see them when their tour gets to NC, and I also put the DVD at the top of my Netflix queue… I may have to just buy it, though.
