On June 29th, Tamara sat down with ESPN College Basketball Analyst Hubert Davis in the reDefine studio and discussed how he crafted a high-profile career out of working six months of the year – so that he can also spend six months out of the year with his family. Throughout this inspiring interview, Hubert discusses his 12 years in the NBA, which kicked off as a first round draft pick for the New York Knicks, what the NBA is like from the “inside”, how he works in time with his family when he’s on the road, his serious obsession with shoes, the technology he loves, and how his relationship with his wife has changed and strengthened over the years (“she’s the only person in the world I want to spend every day with”).

Tamara met with World & Humanitarian Photographer and Author David duChemin to discuss his intriguing transition into photography by way of twelve years as a comedian in show business, following theology school. As a passionate champion for people doing work they love, David offers candid glimpses into the highs and lows of his fast-moving photography career and relays sage advice to those running small businesses. Join in to hear some surprising information about how David accidentally fell of a wall in Italy and what it actually felt like to fall 30 feet onto concrete (after just joking about swimming in the river below). The upside of a rather grueling recovery for David has been the opportunity to finish his fourth book, Photographically Speaking, which he considers his best one yet. And as he slowly learns how to walk again, David’s life is a testament to what he’s been saying for years: life is short. And nothing is guaranteed.
