It’s not that I haven’t always known that I’m a more easy-going person, but I have learned over time just how true that it when I realize how drawn I am to people who seem to just let things go, who laugh easily, who are more likely to appreciate than not. I liked Nicole the first time we spoke. She was just so casual about everything, it felt refreshing after a day of sharp deadlines – and when they came in for the shoot, she laughed right along with me at her children’s behavior. And her kids WERE funny. Here she is with her son who reminds me soooo much of my daughter in his innate desire to get in front of the camera and stay there!

Between the stance, the expression, and the tongue, the first thing I thought of when I shot this frame was Gollum! (If you don’t get that right away, be sure to brush up on your Lord of the Rings…)
